GLOBAL MISSIONS
Our congregations are actively involved in global missions providing opportunities for people of all generations to discover the many ways that God can use us to express His love to the world and share with God’s people who are in need.
Through shared resources, joining together in partnership, we are committed to teaching, equipping and mobilizing all people in our faith communities to participate in God’s work, opening up avenues for their involvement to:
· Reach beyond familiar boundaries with compassion, establishing new and nurturing existing partnerships with missionaries, mission partners and global communities
· Send missionaries and share in short-term and long-term mission experiences
· Invite and host missionaries and international guests
· Provide sponsorship for children living in global communities
· Establish financial goals for benevolence giving and support of global missions
· Join in Global Mission Presentations and Events and learn about international concerns, the culture, lifestyles and difficulties and the needs of the people in each global community in which our congregations do missions ministry
· Actively connect with hands-on projects and activities that benefit global communities
· Use their gifts, abilities and resources to fulfill the great commission, witness and proclaim the gospel of Christ and God’s love for all people.
We are constantly being transformed through our journey with God and our various mission partnerships. We invite you to pray for mission partners and missionaries around the world and seek to grow in faith and be strengthened for the mission of Christ. May you be blessed with opportunities to develop partnerships and build relationships in new places where God is at work and may be calling you to serve and support.

MISSION PARTNERS

In January, 2010, a team from Christ Lutheran Church (Valencia, CA) traveled to Central Africa Republic (CAR) with Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry (LPGM) where they were exposed to the many needs of the people and opportunities to further the work of the church in partnership with others. Christ Lutheran Church has committed to raising $40,000 to fund solar panels for the Emmanuel Health Clinic in Gallo, CAR, and provide a self-sustaining power supply so that the clinic can continue to run lights, equipment, provide tests and surgery and help the many people who are in need of basic health care, including young children 25% of whom die before age five.
